Dear Readers
Welcome to the first edition of the Newsletter on the Tanveer Rana Memorial Trust (TRMT). TRMT was officially formed as a registered Trust in Karachi in 2016 to provide support to families aspiring to educate their children who demonstrated the ability and merit but, lacked the financial means to do so. Over the last decade, understanding the predicament of these families having gone through a similar experience on her own, Mrs. Samina Rana, undertook this passionate endeavour, under the legacy of her (late) husband, Tanveer Rana.
By the Grace of Allah Almighty, starting from two students, the Trust is now able to support more than 25 students with funding from supporters like yourself. We are pleased to share the milestones of some of our earliest students in this first edition.

Introduction:
Hello, I’m Fahad Khan, and I want to take you on a journey through the ups and downs of my life, a journey that has shaped me into who I am today.
Challenges and Responsibility:
In 2008, my family faced an unexpected tragedy when my father passed away. I was just 14 years old, and my sister and brother were 12 and 11, respectively. As the eldest, the responsibility of supporting my family fell on my shoulders. In 2010, I completed my matriculation while doing odd jobs to contribute to our family income, usually earning around PKR 5,000. My mother took up sewing to attract more orders. Together, we navigated the storm of adversity that had engulfed our lives.
A Turning Point and Achievements:
In 2012, we crossed paths with Ms. Samina Rana, who offered to sponsor my education. With her support, I enrolled at Iqra University. Fast forward to 2023, and I’ve come a long way. I founded Kaamlab LLC, a U.S.-based company, became a Google and Microsoft-certified professional, and established three successful companies.
Gratitude to TRMT:
I owe much of my success to TRMT, the organization that sponsored my education and gave me the strength to see opportunities I once believed were beyond my reach. TRMT is a non-profit organization that provides scholarships and mentorship to underprivileged students in Pakistan. They have helped thousands of students like me achieve their dreams.
I hope my story can inspire others to believe in themselves. Remember, no matter the challenges we face, with determination and support, we can overcome anything.
